There currently isn’t any evidence that CBD can currently help to cure cancer. That being said, CBD can still help to alleviate some of the symptoms associated with cancer and its treatments including nausea, depression, insomnia, anxiety, as well as other symptoms. Although studies have not proven CBD to be superior to other anti-nausea medications, they are natural which totally eliminates the risk of addiction.
Research also shows that CBD can ease neuropathic pain and provide an appetite boost –as patients usually complain about a lack of appetite when taking medications for cancer. It is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties. Another common problem associated with cancer is poor sleep and the disruption of the circadian rhythm, and CBD has been proven to be an effective but natural remedy for insomnia problems. However, research has also shown that Full Spectrum CBD products are usually more effective in the management of cancer than Broad Spectrum or CBD isolate products due to the “entourage effect” which works to magnify the benefits of all the cannabinoids in hemp.
It is important to note that CBD can act as an inhibitor of some enzymes that are needed in cancer therapies. This makes it important to check with your therapist if CBD is right for you when treating cancer.
